Frank specializes in
analysis and forecasting of economic, retail and consumer trends. He is a key
contributor to Retail Forward's Intelligence Program and regularly writes about
the economic outlook for the monthly Retail Economist newsletter. Frank also directs
the retail channel and product category forecasts for the annual US Retail Outlook
publication. Frank's analysis and forecasts have been featured in various
media, including The Wall Street Journal, The Associated Press, Reuters, Bloomberg
News, CNBC, and CNNfn. Frank has more than eight years of retail consulting
experience and is an authority in the area of Customer Relationship Management.
He authored the February 2001 RIS report titled "Retail Perspectives on Customer
Relationship Management," which was a follow-up to his September 1997 RIS
report titled "Customer Relationship Management: The Emerging Competitive
Edge." Frank was also the lead author of the study titled "Database
Mining for Precision Consumer Marketing" completed by PricewaterhouseCoopers
for the Grocery Manufacturers of America in April, 2000. Frank joined the
Management Horizons Division of Price Waterhouse in 1994 and most recently was
a Principal Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Frank holds masters' degrees
in economics from The Ohio State University and the University of Miami, Florida
and bachelors' degrees in journalism and political science from Kent State University.
Prior to becoming an economist, Frank was a business writer and reporter with
the Akron Beacon Journal, Miami Herald and Detroit Free Press.
